WHICH LINE DID YOU CONNECT WITH MOST?
i am a writer by choice and an artisan at heart.
working with my hands does a lot for me:
it keeps me earthed while my imagination soars free
and i can feel deeper into the hearts of others i meet.
what exactly i work on matters lesser...
for in any one skill lies the seed of the next.
beads, charcoal, paper, old books, glass bottles, spice...
my interests are many, and cyclical:
feeding into one another like a water wheel.
imagine nine kettles: each simmering in its own warmth.
and one by one bubbling into boil.
when this happens, i simply pour out onto this page.
i know there are many many more like me
who like to use their hands to tell us about themselves.
i dream of ninekettles being the place they come to
to express. to exhibit. to jam and create.
for only then will we truly be nine kettles:
bubbling fast. pouring free.
